Could you be infected?

The symptoms

The symptoms of COVID-19 are very simlar to the symptoms of a common flu; fever, dry cough, tiredness and aches in bones and muscles. Some patients may experience symptoms from their digestive tract (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) although this is uncommon.

If you suspect you have become infected with COVID-19, have a fever of 38,5 °C or more, aches in bones and muscles or coughs:

Stay at home and call 1700 or your health clinic where medical staff will be able to answer your questions and advise you on your next steps.
It is critical that you do not go to hospitals and clinics without specific instructions to do so by a healthcare professional.

If you suspect someone near you is infected:

Be careful to avoid close contact with the person in question as much as possible. Advise them to call 1700 or the local health clinic to discuss the symptoms and get advice on how to react.
